Who we are

Hello everyone!

My name is Matthijs van Staalduine and I play korfball. 

I was born and raised in the Netherlands, where I learned to play korfball at the club called Avanti in Pijnacker. In 2012 I arrived in Sweden, and played at Stockholm Korfball Klubb ever since. At the moment I am the chairman of the board of the club. 

My best korfball skills are defending and rebounding. And I usually score my penalties! 

Korfball is a mixed gender sport, and has many comparisons with basketball, handball and netball. It is fast, fun and easy to learn. Everybody should play korfball! 

Together with the other members of the Swedish national korfball team we have been playing several tournaments all over Europe. Lately we added our Swedish Beach Korfball team as well. Our ambition is to organise a beach korfball tournament in Stockholm.

You can find us in Konradsbergshallen in Stockholm. We have training twice a week, on Wednesdays and Sundays. Find more details about the training times on our Facebook website.
